People who claim to be fearless have never ridden a car with a friend who steps on the clutch to make curves with a loose car

My uncle and aunt have a friend who had a Ferrari back in the day. One day he stopped at the gas station and on the other side of the road there was a good ol’ beetle. When the lights turned green the beetle owner stepped on the clutch to turn. He didn’t make the curve, neither could he break, entering the gas station totally out of control, hitting the Ferrari right in the middle.
Sometimes cheap mentality costs you more than paying the initial price.
Total commotion. Entertainment.
Souls secretly wishing to see the man get in trouble.
Everybody came to see what would happen to the beetle owner who, of course, didn’t have insurance. If he did, he wouldn’t’ve hit the Ferrari.
Aware that the guy would never have money to pay for the damage, my uncle’s friend got the beetle owner off the hook saying he would pay for the damage and that was it. Lucky bad driver, right?
Even more commotion. Envy. How could this guy be so lucky? People wondered.
Years later the friend arranged a fancy dinner to welcome his sister who was coming back home from extensive traveling. She brought in her new boyfriend, the beetle owner!
It took the friend a few seconds to connect the dots on why did the boyfriend look so familiar. But once it rang the bell: “you son of a b*tch! What are you doing with my sister? Come in! Make yourself at home! Tell her what you did to me all those years ago! Destroyed my Ferrari, I couldn’t believe it!
Regretting not buying a more expensive wine to offer the girlfriend’s family, the beetle owner came in and was welcomed like family! He and the friend became good friends, thank God.
The ancient wisdom of the week is: Pay for your car’s insurance and take your foot off the clutch when making curves. Im here to make your walk through life easier through these necessary tips.
