Here are obvious signs that you’re a control freak:
- Never asks for help, especially when it comes to organizing and preparing things.
- Knows exactly how the vision must manifest. It’s not only about getting the results you want but forcing it to happen step-by-step as you envisioned it.
- Have answers to dialogues that didn’t even happen. Having answers to questions you weren’t even asked yet.
- You know everybody’s tea, but no one knows yours. You take pride on being the one who knows it all and never tells your truth, so you search for the tea and fight to make them trust and tell you, their secrets.
- The need to be liked by everybody. Disease to please. Having a hard time saying no. Trying to be nice in every situation.
- Having every tiny detail of a trip planned, to the point where every meal is scheduled based on trip advisor’s reviews. Absolutely no room for spontaneity and if someone brings it to your awareness you say they’re crazy.

The important message that comes with discovering you’re a control freak is that controlling ALWAYS avoids presence. We all know life happens NOW, so not being present means not living, which is quite sad if you think about it.
